Southern Style Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, minced
  • 1 Green Pepper, minced
  • 1 Egg
  • 2/3 cup Vision Grills BBQ Sauce (Kansas City Style Recommended)
  • 3 tbsp Vision Grills BBQ Rub (Kansas City Style Recommended)
  • 1/2 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Hot Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Basil
  • 1/3 cup 2% Milk
Meatloaf Done

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, add the Ground Beef, Onion, Pepper, Garlic, Egg, 1/3 cup BBQ Sauce, Italian Bread Crumbs, Salt, Pepper, Cayenne, Basil, Oregano, and Milk
  2. Using your hands, knead the meat mixture until everything is well combined
  3. Mold the meat into a loaf shape and sprinkle the top with BBQ Rub
  4. Start up your Vision Kamado and get it to 350ºF.
  5. Place meatloaf in Vision Kamado once it reaches 350ºF
  6. Brush with 1/3 cup of BBQ Sauce after the meatloaf reaches 140ºF (about an hour and a half in)
  7. Remove when the internal temperature is at 160ºF (about two hours)
